The Midwest Poultry Consortium’s Center of Excellence (COE) brings together college students, poultry faculty, and industry professionals for a unique summer learning experience. Students take specialized poultry-focused animal science courses taught by faculty from leading land-grant universities across the Midwest.
Each six-week summer session offers 9 transferable animal science credits and combines classroom instruction with hands-on laboratories, industry speakers, and field experiences. Students may participate in one session or return for a second summer to complete up to 18 credits of specialized poultry coursework and earn a poultry science emphasis.
Learning continues beyond the classroom. MPC works with students to coordinate paid poultry internships that build on their coursework and provide real-world.
