The Midwest Poultry Consortium is organized to provide
leadership, support and resources
for poultry education and research
in member states.

Strategies. Established by the initial MPC Board of Directors in 1995 remain relatively unchanged today.

Leadership. Support, maintain and enhance poultry science eduation and research at member state universities.

Education. Encourage students to enter the field of poultry.

Research. Increase basic and applied research in poultry and food science at member state universities.

Communication. Facilitate communication, coordination and interaction between industry, universities, government and interested public.

In March 2005 a pilot program was established with the University of Florida - Gainesville and the Florida Poultry Federation, creating cross-country collaboration and providing additional resources for the Center of Excellence Scholarship Program.
